RE John Martinez 

John was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a Minor in Philosophy from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Westminster Seminary California.
He was called by Valley Presbyterian Church and ordained to the office of Ruling Elder in 2017.
John is gratefully married to his beautiful, gracious, and extroverted wife, Theresa. Since 2007, they have sought to glorify God together in marriage. They are blessed with four wonderful children—each talented, artistic, and adventurous.
John enjoys reading theology, philosophy, and classic literature. He also has a deep interest in films and podcasts covering topics such as scholastic and biblical theology, liturgics, church history, polity, Thomas Aquinas, productivity, and film—all preferably with Theresa and their children nearby.
Above all, John desires to seek the face of God, remain faithful, and uphold the unity, peace, and purity of the Church as he journeys with the body of Christ toward the heavenly Mount Zion.
