POLITY

Valley Presbyterian Church has a Presbyterian governmental structure. We are ruled by elders who are chosen by the congregation. Within the office of Elders there 
are two orders, possessing the same authority. The Two orders are the teaching elders (TE’s) and ruling elders (RE’s). The elders of the church make up the Session and are given the responsibility of overseeing and shepherding Christ’s flock. The deacons, under the oversight of the Session, are responsible for the ministry of mercy and stewardship.

COMMITTEES 

The ministries of the church are implemented by the Session and overseen by the following standing committees of Ruling Elders and Teaching Elder.

GATHERING TEAM - TE Ron Svendsen, RE Jaime Garcia and RE Jesse Cook.

The Gathering Team exists to provide excellently-presented, biblically-grounded worship which proclaims the gospel to all, edifying the body of Christ for the Glory of God.

GROWING TEAM - RE Edgar Figueroa, RE John Martinez and RE Jack Riedinger

The Growing Team exists to provide the discipleship opportunities of Christian Education and Christian Fellowship in order for God's people to grow in Christlikeness.

GOING TEAM - TE Ron Svendsen, RE Bruce Mateko, RE Larry Shaw and RE John Martinez.

The Growing Team exists to facilitate the spread of the gospel and the service of God's people, both globally and locally, through strategic missionary support and local evangelism and outreach efforts.
