The son of a PCA pastor himself, Stephen was raised in Maryland right outside Washington D.C. He had a strong desire to go into the ministry as early as high school. He attended Grove City College in Pennsylvania where he met his wife and best friend, Carrie. At Grove City, Stephen majored in English Literature and minored in Religion always with the intention of going to seminary to pursue the pastorate. Soon after graduation from college, he attended Westminster Seminary California where he earned his M.Div. degree. He came to Valley Presbyterian Church in 2005. Stephen and Carrie live in North Hills, and have two children, Molly and Oliver.
