Winter Junior Camps are action packed weekends at Lost Creek Ranch high in the San Bernardino Mountains featuring: Fun with friends, Bible studies, unique games, sports, and maybe snow! Our children will go with parent counselors from Valley Presbyterian Church. To learn more, visit the Forest Home website.

We will call ahead to inform you of the estimated time of arrival.

Please pick up your children at church.

 

Consent and Release Forms

Please complete both forms (Medical Release for Forest Home and Consent and Medical Release form for Church). Please mail these to Roberta Herr (13353 Almetz St., Sylmar, CA 91342) as soon as possible, or give them to her at church. Your child will not be able to go on the trip if these forms are not completed.

What to bring: Bible, sleeping bag, flashlight, wash cloth and towels, soap, pillow and toothbrush. Warm winter clothing and sturdy shoes, extra shoes for outdoor recreation in case of inclement weather. Spending money of $15 is optional in case you want your child to purchase a camp picture ($4.00), a T-shirt ($8.00) or snacks ($3.00). Please put soft luggage (sleeping bag, pillow, etc.) in a plastic bag because of possible snow, rain and mud.

 

What not to bring: Do not bring electronic toys, portable radios or knives. Only Forest Home's inner-tubes are allowed on the inner-tube run. Dress clothes are not needed for Sunday.

 

Please be in prayer: Please pray for the children, the parent counselors and the Forest Home Staff. We desire that the Lord use this camp experience to draw our children closer to Himself.

1. Take the 210 Freeway until it turns south and connects with the 10 Freeway.
2. Exit off I-10 at University Street (past Orange Street).
3. Turn left and continue about one mile to Lugonia Avenue which is Highway 38.
4. Turn right on Highway 38 and continue 14 miles to the Forest Falls turn-off which forks off to the right.
5. Forest Home is two miles farther on Valley of the Falls Drive.
